Your support of the VCU School of Education Scholarship fund helps address teacher shortages in Virginia and across the country. When you make a gift, you support:
- The student emergency fund, which provides immediate financial support to students with unexpected financial hardships that may disrupt their education, such as urgent housing or safety needs, medical emergencies or child care costs.
- The gap fund (academic funding issues), which helps bridge the financial shortfall between scholarships, grants and individual or family contributions. This fund supports current students who face modest financial gaps and ensures they can continue their education without interruption.
- Scholarships for transfer students, which help ease their transition by covering expenses like higher book costs, housing expenses or transportation needs. These scholarships ensure students have the resources they need to succeed.
- Scholarships for new grad students, which support incoming graduate students by easing financial burdens — such as tuition, research costs and professional development — to help students focus on their studies and future impact as leaders in education.
